For over 40 years Timothy Jackson has been honing his eye and skills buying and selling fine jewelry, watches and silverware. His start in Chester, England at Boodles, in 1986 lead to attending the GIA in Santa Monica, CA and becoming a Graduate Gemologist, top of his class with a 98% graduation rate, in 1988. He then took a job in 1988 at Roy K. Eyges, Inc. in Boston, a prominent New England Estate Jewelry firm, established in 1941. He moved to San Francisco, California in 1991 to join a small firm, Diamond Concepts & Watchworks, a block from the famous Union Square at Post St. & Grant St., buying and selling diamonds, watches and estate jewelry. From here the independent streak continued and Acheyson-Smith Estate Buyers was created by Tim as his own Estate Jewelry & watch business in 1994. He joined Jackson Square Fine Jewels, Inc. in 1999 as Gemologist/Buyer for a high end retail Fine Jewelry firm in Redwood City/Silicon Valley, California. In 2010, he then focused on the Independent Watchmaking niche market with a retail store in San Diego he built from scratch. Coming back to estate and antique jewelry in 2022, the journey continues in San Francisco at 210 Post St. right across the street from where he started back in 1991.
